Keeping Busy

It’s been a while since anything’s changed here. The folks at UC Davis know how to keep you busy. Beside classes at the Graduate School of Management, here’s a bit about two projects that have been keeping things interesting:

UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center
Market Segmentation of Multi-Tenant Light Commercial Buildings

Multi-tenant light commercial buildings include strip malls, small office parks and mixed-use developments. The goal of the project is to develop and demonstrate whole building retrofit solutions for existing multi-tenant light commercial buildings. We’re aiming to increase energy efficiency, reduce peak electricity demand, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Because of the variety of building types this market is particularly promising to aid in reaching the state’s ghg and energy efficiency targets.

Zebulant
Liten

A few friends in the MBA program and I started a company (called Zebulant — don’t ask) to apply some of the theory we were learning in the program. I’m working with an amazing developer and UI designer. They’re certainly making software development a very appealing proposition. Liten is a small app that finds duplicate files on your computer. It’s a quick and cheap app we wanted to get out the door. Expect more soon…
